ILC Tas receives grant from Commonwealth Bank Staff Community Fund

Yesterday Marco Artini, State Manager Commonwealth Bank Tasmania, along with Launceston Branch Manager Abe Taylor and Corporate Relationship Executive Jenny Cahoon, presented us with a cheque for $10,000 from the Commonwealth Bank Staff Community Fund.

This funding for information sessions for high school students in North and North West Tas about assisitve technology that can help tehm to engage with their school curriculum.  The sessions will be facilitated by an occuaptional therapist or speech pathologist and are aimed at students with learning disabilities who are not eligible to access disability services, their families and teachers.

This grant is the first of three instalments over three years.  We are very thankful to the Commonwealth Bank for selecting this project and to the Commonwealth Bank staff for making this funding possible.
