Tasmania Medicare Local seeks feedback on health needs for people with a disability

Tasmania Medicare Local (TML) is conducting a comprehensive population health needs assessment (CNA) process over a four month period, commencing December 2013 through March 2014, to assist in the identification of key health issues/needs of the Tasmanian population.

TML are responsible for identifying the health needs of local communities and developing locally focussed and responsive primary health care services and are currently seeking feedback on the health needs of those living with or caring for someone with a disability or physical impairment.

The information collected and analysed during this process will build upon previous needs assessment conducted by TML and will further develop our understanding of the health status, health needs and service gaps within the community.

Interviews will take place between 14 January and 31 January. The format is an informal conversation and can take between 30 minutes to 60 minutes.  They are requesting distribution to colleagues/anyone who you think may be able to make a contribution.
